The Six Million Dollar Slam Dunk

  • When: 2015 Dota 2 Internationale Finals
  • Game: Dota 2

The Dota 2 Internationale Finals 2015 featured the biggest game ever between CDEC and Evil Geniuses. The teams were playing to win $6 million. Both teams were doing their best, with EG being slightly better than CDEC. However, the losing team made a fantastic move, killing one of the EG characters and leaving their opponents outnumbered. They went all-in, planning to take the victory by storm. But EG didn’t lose their composure as they had prepared a powerful combo, which killed four CDEC characters and made the fifth so weak that it could do nothing against four EGs in the rear. EG won the game, the championship, and the money, proving that you can achieve nearly anything with good teamwork and trust in Dota 2.

He was the top player of that time, the player everybody talked about. And then, there is Nairo. Nairo kept improving, and at the Major League Gaming World Finals, Nairo won. It was very intensive, and both players played as well as ever. Nairo’s Zero Suit Samus was amazing, and he took no breaks to let ZeRo win. Nairo’s win stopped ZeRo’s longest-running winning streak in the major tournaments. ZeRo later won his next 11 tournaments. For Nairo, this moment was critical as he became the player that beat the best. This match shows how intensive and thrilling the Smash 4 games could be.
